Automated License Systems, Inc. (ALS), a leading real-time transaction processor providing services in the operation of automated systems for online and agent-based sales and printing of hunting and fishing licenses for state fish & wildlife agencies, is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead its Design Group, based at its Nashville, TN headquarters.

ALS operates and supports (1) a distributed VeriFone point of sale hardware and proprietary POS software system with POS software applications coded and compiled in VeriFone proprietary TXO and Verix languages, (2) web-based sales and administrative management and reports solutions with software applications primarily coded in PHP, resident on Linux servers running Apache web server software. Primary database is Oracle.

Compliance Manager

This position will have responsibility for the following areas backup configuration and administration utilizing Veritas NetBackup Enterprise, PCI and SAS70 compliance monitoring and reporting, develop and maintain procedures related to security and regulatory compliance, produce monthly reports related to IT Infrastructure availability and utilization, and track software and hardware support contracts.

Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is primarily responsible for the gathering, analyzing, and documenting of customer system requirements. The BSA is responsible for translating those requirements into design for system functionality. The BSA will interface with stakeholders and all members of the project team to ensure the feasibility, completeness and accuracy of resulting functionality. Involvement in the entire project lifecycle at varying degrees is expected.

Customer Service Representative

Call center agents primary focus is to assist ALS' customers through telephone support on product and service information; troubleshooting product and peripherals from equipment issues to transaction failures, service issues, and the selling of products and service.

Junior MS SQL DBA/Data Analyst

Local transaction processing company seeking qualified individual for a Junior DBA/Data Analyst position as an addition to our existing Database Administration team. This position would be responsible for performance of data management tasks within our databases . production of custom reports, ad hoc queries and extracts, and general data management and analysis activities primarily involving our MSSQL database platform - operating on Dell PowerEdge servers running Windows 2003 Server Enterprise OS. Experience programming data access for end user applications using MS SQL stored procedures, functions and views is a definite plus.
