Customer Service Representative
ALS Description

Call center agents primary focus is to assist ALS' customers through telephone support on product and service information; troubleshooting product and peripherals from equipment issues to transaction failures, service issues, and the selling of products and service.

Duties

  • Troubleshoot point of sale equipment and peripherals from equipment issues to transaction failures
  • Understand and explain specific application functions on any installation platform from POS, WEB POS to Internet
  • Update customer records accurately and timely
  • Assist customers with license purchases
    • Process payment for purchases
    • Data entry for personal information required for purchase
    • Generate purchases in a timely manner
  • Order supplies for POS equipment
  • Record all calls in ASSIST(reference Tools)
  • Follow proper escalation procedures for unresolved customer issues
  • Practice excellent quality service and phone etiquette
  • Practice teamwork

Skills and qualifications

6–12 months customer service experience with good communication and customer etiquette skills

Experience using Windows 98, 2000, NT or greater

Experience with web-based software or Internet navigation

Good to excellent typing skills

Good problem solving skills to resolve customer problems in a timely manner

Quality and team work focus in their job performance

Bilingual a plus
