ALS contributes its real-time processing and system support strengths to a variety of different identification and background authorization systems.
These include real-time background checks for individuals purchasing firearms from licensed firearm dealers, POS-based identification confirmation and screening
for employees or applicants for employment or services, and support services for fingerprint identifications for education workers. For all these services, ALS
provides front-end user interfaces for simplified access to services as well as various other types of system services and support.

Automated License Systems, Inc. ("ALS") in late 2003 spun off Automated Verification Systems, Inc. ("AVS") in order to enable the new company, AVS, to focus
its efforts completely on the area of POS-based identity verification and criminal history background checks for employees as well as applicants for employment
or services. ALS will continue to furnish AVS its core services (POS telecommunications, transaction switching, POS terminal software design, development, testing,
deployment and support. AVS will focus on the development and management of marketing strategies, sales channels, and relationships with customers and strategic partners.
AVS has entered into a partnership with General Information Services, Inc. ("GiS") as data sources for social security number-based identity
verification and validation, criminal history background checks, and motor vehicle record histories accessed by customers from the field via POS terminal,
with results printed by the customer at their location via the POS terminal's internal printer.
Used by the hiring manager or central office, the VerifyPOS™ product offers an interactive user interface and access to multiple state and federal level databases.
