AVS is our sister company. ALS spun off AVS in late 2003 to enable AVS to focus its attention solely on the POS background check market. AVS is developing and offering its VerifyPOS™ product as the only instant background check alternative to Internet-based services, which are not appropriate or accessible for use in some work settings. ALS will be furnishing AVS with its core competency services, i.e. POS terminal software design, development, testing, deployment and support, as well as POS transaction processing.

Other strategic partners for AVS' VerifyPOS™ product are GIS (General Information Services), the largest privately-held background investigation company in the U.S. and one of the largest overall, and VeriFone, Inc., the predominant manufacturer of POS terminals worldwide. GiS will furnish the information databases with which VerifyPOS™ interfaces for the performance of instant screenings. VeriFone will furnish the POS terminals (or the VerifyPOS™ application will be loaded as a value-added proposition upon POS terminals already in the field.

The VerifyPOS™ product is geared to the quick-service restaurant market as well as employers in other industries prone to high turnover of entry-level, hourly rate employees. It offers the ability to perform the following employment eligibility verification screening services using a small footprint, multi-application capable VeriFone POS terminal at a very economical price:

• Super Social Security Number Verification (SSN): verifies that a person's SSN was validly issued, matches the person's name and wasn't assigned to a person now deceased.
• National Criminal History
• MVR's (Motor Vehicle Records): Instant in 35 states.
